The aim of the competition is the creation of the second access to the Materdei station in Naples which is serving the historic Sanità district.

The project aims to be a trigger to give not only a new image of Naples as an international center that is alive and projected towards the future but also to improve the physical connection and interaction between the Materdei and Sanità districts through an urban redevelopment proposal.

Decisive is the decision to partially reuse the existing tuff cavities in order to give back to the city a piece of history by making them safe and making them usable in the city.
