CREW with A2A for an Innovative Energy Development Project
In Brescia, A2A has taken a significant step towards decarbonizing the city's district heating, with an investment of approximately 110 million euros. The aim was to make the heat plant more efficient, recovering all waste heat and reducing emissions. Thanks to innovative technology, it will be possible to generate thermal energy for 12,500 families with the same amount of waste treated, reducing gas usage and increasing the plant's efficiency to 98%. The solution was inaugurated 26 February by A2A's CEO, Renato Mazzoncini, in the presence of local authorities, Brescia's Mayor Laura Castelletti, Attilio Fontana, President of Lombardy Region, and Emanuele Moraschini, President of Brescia Province.
CREW Cremonesi Workshop srl has been an integral part of this project, handling the development of the architectural concept, architectural and structural design, as well as site supervision. In close collaboration with A2A, we have created a series of new buildings dedicated to modern facilities, maximizing not only the functionality of the internal spaces but also harmoniously integrating with the surrounding environment. The result is a design that seamlessly blends with the existing hill, offering a pleasant and integrated view towards the city. This project embodies the values of sustainability and energy efficiency, of which we are proud to have been a part.
