Bus depot ATM Toscana

The main public transport company of Milano ATM, needed to create a depot for electric buses in a very central area of the city, characterized by the presence of important historical parks, infrastructure, and relevant building
such as the Bocconi university campus. CREW won the international competition in 2021, proposing an underground depot whose roof works as a large extension of the public space: above the building, there will be a large sloped green space that will connect the park of Memorie Industriali with the Ravizza park, creating a green area with sport facilities and playgrounds. 

The project aims to offer a unique experience to the citizens, a place where people can play, have fun and relax. The building hosts not only a two-storey parking, but also offices, other amenities and a bus repair workshop. After winning the competition, Crew, together with some other consultant, was put in charge of the development of the architectural design from concept to Detailed Design. 

We are performing also the overall coordination of all designers. We are working also on all the practices related to the building permits, which require a constant contact with the local authorities, that is carried out together with the client, that is a strong presence in Milano.
