The combined cycle power plant of San Severo (Fg) is a 400MW plant, that covers an area of approximately 50.000 sqm.
This plant supplied by Ansaldo Energia S.p.A.  on a turn-key basis, includes the interconnecting infrastructures (gas pipeline and HV transmission line). The power block has a single shaft configuration. This Greenfield plant with an air condensing system, and a ZLD (zero liquid discharge) ensures a low environmental impact.
The colors used, in the shades of ochre and green, reminiscent the colors of the Puglia Tableland a vast plain that largely represent an ancient seabed composed by Pliocene and Quaternary soils.
The facade colors panels highlight the functional elements in order to achieve a more readable structure of the plant.
In addition to the building, also the external areas were fully revised with new green spaces,  to mitigate the impact of the facilities and buildings in the surrounding environment.
The engineering services provided, were the civil design, the foundation and elevation structures. The project involves the vertical structures like steel frames and precast concrete elements.
